Michel Gaucher
Michel Gaucher began his career in the 1960s with the Chaussettes Noires and various groups such as the Glen Jack Toppers with Babik Reinhardt and René Mailles.
He went on to accompany singers such as Nino Ferrer, Michel Delpech, Joe Dassin and Eddy Mitchell, who took him into his group when he left the Chaussettes Noires.
In 1975 he joined Gilbert Bécaud, following him around the world until 1980.
He has appeared on stage and on television with Eddy Michell, Charles Aznavour, Al Jarreau, Michel Sardou, Michel Jonasz, Francis Cabrel, Johnny Hallyday, Bernard Lavilliers, Gilbert Bécaud and Kassav, as well as with Ivan Julien, of whom he was a member of the big band for many years.
In 2002, he joined Jean-Michel Bernard in the Ray Charles quintet, with whom they toured all over Europe.
During these years he recorded three albums: Téquila, Lefty and Tribute to Jazz, and composed the music for the film Un printemps à Paris and the music for the play Le temps des cerises starring Cécile de France and Eddy Mitchell.
At the same time, he embarked on a career as a studio musician, recording many film scores with Vladimir Cosma, Jean-Claude Petit, Christian Gaubert, Jean-Claude Vannier and Jean-Michel Bernard, as well as countless recording sessions for advertising and artists such as Charles Aznavour, Gilbert Bécaud, Johnny Hallyday, Eddy Mitchell, Cool and the Gang, Gilbert Montagné and Maurane, Maxime Le Forestier, Michel Jonasz, Sylvie Vartan, Sacha Distel, Magma group, Jean-Jacques Goldman, Francis Cabrel, Michel Sardou, Gilbert Montagné, Guy Marchand, Robert Miles, Roger Hodgson, Roch Voisine, Patrick Bruel, Robert Charlebois, Henri Salvador, Catherine Lara, William Sheller, Pascal Obispo, Florent Pagny, Bernard Lavilliers, Véronique Sanson, Joan Baez, Michel Berger for Starmania 2 and at the Casino de Paris.
