Dr. Pablo Gil Rodulfo is an artist with an original style and a compelling body of work. His creative and professional activities include jazz performance (saxophones, woodwinds, and keyboards), composition, arrangement, production, music for movies and documentaries, and conducting large jazz ensembles.
Pablo Gil has performed or recorded with many jazz greats, such as Mike Stern, Edward Simon, Dave Samuels and the Caribbean jazz Project, The Ellington Big Band, Adam Rogers, Dave Kikoski, Mike Holober, Nicolas Folmer and the Paris Jazz Big Band, John Benitez, Steve Turre, Ron Carter, Patato Valdez, Juan Pablo Torres, Mario Rivera, Orlando Poleo, Silvano Monasterios, Martin Bejerano and Luis Perdomo amongst others.
His performances have taken place in countries such as France, United States, ngland, Panama, Côte d'Ivoire, Mexico, Peru, Oman, Russia, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Italy, Bonaire, Colombia, Portugal, Turkey and Senegal amongst others.
He has issued seven CDs: Major Delights (2002), Simbolos (2004), Empatia (2006), Suka Jazz en directo (2007), Baladas (2008),CCS-NYC jazz connection (2011) and Encuentros (2017). Dr. Gilco-leads with percussionist and producer Tony Succar the Raíces Jazz Orchestra, a Grammy-Winning large jazz ensemble. He is preparing the launch of his first big band album in May 2020.
Dr. Gil currently lives in South Florida. He is the musical director and saxophonist at Unimas’ National TV prime time show “Enamorandonos”.
