Alberto Arteta
One of the most popular and demanded Spanish saxophone players, Alberto Arterta started studying jazz in Pablo Sarasate High Conservatory (Pamplona, Spain), finishing with Honours and receiving the Final Award Degree. After this award, he went to Amsterdam (Netherlands), where he studied Saxofon Jazz Bachelor in Conservatorium Van Amsterdam, having classes by Dick Oatts, Gerald Clayton, Ferdinand Povel, Dave Douglas, Gary Foster, Don Menza and many others, receiving the best musician award.
He has recorded more than thirty albums as leader and sideman, his three albums as a leader, Bat (2014), The Legacy (2016) and Behar bizia (2019) are specially remarkables.
He has played hundreds of concerts in the best festivals and jazz clubs such as San Sebastian Jazz Festival (Heineken Jazzaldia), Paradiso (Amsterdam), Café Central (Madrid), Bimhuis (Amsterdam), Getxo Jazz Festival, Café Berlin Jazz (Madrid), Bilbaina Jazz club, Jazz in Plasencia (Extremadura), Girona Blues Festival, Sol Club (Madrid), Caracol (Madrid), and many others.
Nowadays, Alberto Arteta is Jazz Saxophone teacher in the High Conservatory of Navarra (Spain) while leading his own Jazz projects.
