Bogdan Sydorenko
Bogdan Sydorenko was born in 1989 in Ukraine into a family of musicians. In 2007 he completed his secondary clarinet studies at the Kiev Specialized School of Music with Alexander Samoylov and joined the class of Vyacheslav Tichonov at the National Music Academy of Ukraine in Kiev the same year.
In 2012 he obtained his Master's degree in Clarinet and Musical Arts (option performer, concert and chamber music, conducting and teaching).
He continues to improve his skills by participating in master classes, in 2006 with Patrick Messina in Kiev and in 2012 with Philippe Berrod in Nancy.
In 2013, he wishes to continue his work with Philippe Berrod, and joins his class in the second cycle at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. In June 2015 he obtained his Master 2 in Clarinet from the CNSMD of Paris with Honors and Jury Prize. In September 2015 he continued his training at the CNSMDP in the Master cycle of bass clarinet in the class of Alain Billard.
In February 2017 he created his quintet and entered the Master of Chamber Music at CNSMDP.
During these years of training, Bogdan Sydorenko participated in international competitions of which he was laureate several times:
- Selmer Paris in Ukraine (Lviv, Ukraine, 2005, 3rd prize)
- Pharbotony (Kagnev, Ukraine, 2005, 2nd prize)
- Art of the 21st Century (Vorzel, Ukraine, 2005, 1st prize)
- 5th Eugene Mravinsky International Youth Competition (Moscow, Russia, 2006)
- International Music Competition in Vienna (Austria, 2019, 1st Prize and Gold Medal).
Since 2001 he has performed numerous solo programs, in recitals, accompanied by the symphony orchestra of his school, the Archi Chamber Orchestra (conductor Igor Andryevsky). He is regularly invited as a soloist by the Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, the House of Scientists of Ukraine, the National Musical Academy of Ukraine, the House of Actors of Ukraine, in the Philharmonic of Chernigive, Zhitomir, Lviv and other cities.
From 2007 to 2009, Bogdan Sydorenko regularly participates in concert tours of the European Youth Orchestra (CEI Youth Orchestra) (conductor Igor Coretti-Khuret) in Italy, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia, Russia and the Netherlands as a soloist and orchestra member.
In July 2014 he was invited to participate in the Ravenna Festival under the direction of Riccardo Muti as Principal Clarinet.
Since 2013, he has been a member of the Assosiation Jeunes Talents de Paris, which organizes more than 150 concerts per year in the best venues in France.
Bogdan Sydorenko also performs as a soloist and chamber musician in many festivals:
- International Festival of Contemporary Music of O. Messiaen (France)
- International Chamber Music Festival in Giverny (France)
- International Clarinet Festival of Chernigiv, Zhytomir, and Lviv (Ukraine)
- Kiev International Chamber Music Festival, among others.
During the years 2010-2013, he works in the Orchestra of the President of Ukraine. He has concert programs with different music communities of Ukraine.
Since September 2014, he is a teacher at the Conservatoire de Musique de Noyon (Picardy); in 2014-2015, at the Conservatoire de Rosny-sous-Bois, and since 2017, at the Conservatoire de Savigny-le-Temple.
Since 2015, he is Principal clarinet of the Lauréats du Conservatoire National de Paris (CNSMDP) orchestra, and solo clarinet of the Ensemble Multilatérale (Paris, France).
In 2014-2015 he recorded F. Poulenc's Sonata for clarinet and piano; B. Bartok's trio Contrastes for clarinet, violin and piano; I. Stravinsky for solo clarinet; Prelude by K. Penderecki for solo clarinet; Art of Metal II for contrabass clarinet and electronic device at the CNSMD of Paris.
Currently, he works regularly as a guest musician with the Ensemble Intercontemporain, the Ensemble Multilatérale, the Orchestre National de Lille, the Orchestre du Capitole de Toulouse, the Orchestre Prométhée, the Orchestre Pasdeloup, the Paris Mozart Orchestra, as well as on solo program projects with orchestras in France, Russia, Thailand, Indonesia, Ukraine, and prepares for numerous international competitions.
