Launched ten years ago, Présence clarinets quickly established themselves on the market as a benchmark in the entry-level professional range. Today, these clarinets are played around the world, in a multitude of musical styles, in the hands of musicians from all backgrounds.
Building on the latest advancements, while preserving the qualities that made them successful, Henri SELMER Paris introduces subtle improvements to the Présence model in terms of acoustics, ergonomics, and aesthetics.
ACOUSTICS
- Enhanced resonance thanks to 7 mm wide rings.
- Improved tonal consistency across registers due to a new internal bell shape.
- Two newly designed barrels are included: 64.5 mm and 65.5 mm to adapt to various playing contexts.
- The Echo mouthpiece, the top of the range of Henri SELMER Paris mouthpieces, equips the new generation of Présence clarinets. This mouthpiece facilitates overall sound production.
MECHANICS AND MATERIALS
- Selected grenadilla wood of high density, stabilized for 3 years in a controlled environment.
- The Evolution system (resin sleeving on the upper part of the body, near the bore) is integrated into this new generation model, ensuring enhanced stability and longevity, while preserving the acoustic qualities of a wooden clarinet.
- Bb clarinet available with 17 or 18 keys (with Eb lever), A clarinet available with 18 keys.
ERGONOMICS
- The upper and lower joints, as well as the bell, have been refined for a weight reduction of up to 30 grams. More lightness for more comfort!
- The two pads for the ring keys are made of Gore-Tex for greater precision in touch. The remaining pads are Valentino.
AESTHETICS
- New design for the rings and barrels, with matte black chrome ring on the lower joint.
- 100% natural, plant-based finishing wax.
- The Delta symbol, engraved on the upper body, distinguishes this new version from the previous one.
- New refined design for the single case, with a matching mouthpiece pouch.
