Adrien Lajoumard
Born in 1986 in Limoges, Adrien Lajoumard studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris, where he obtained a Master's degree in classical and contemporary performance (2010).
A keen chamber musician, he is a founding member of the Ensemble Squillante, a saxophone nonet with which he performs regularly in France and abroad, at festivals including the Festival de la Roque d'Anthéron, Les Folles Journées, Les Flâneries de Reims, the Festival 'C'est pas classique' in Nice, Semaines Musicales in Quimper, Musiques vivantes in Vichy, Musique en vignes and the Festival Jazz Métis… or during collaborative projects with other artists: l'Improbable concerts at the Théâtre du Châtelet and participation in the programme La Boîte à Musiques with Jean-François Zygel, concerts at Radio France and recording with violinist Sarah Nemtanu, concerts and recording with trombonist Daniel Casimir.
He has also performed under the baton of great conductors such as Valery Gergiev, Daniele Gatti, Karel Mark Chichon, Yutaka Sado, Jonathan Darlington, and Fayçal Karoui with prestigious orchestras such as the Orchestre National de France,Orchestre de Paris, Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern, Orchestre des Pays de la Loire, and Orchestre Lamoureux.
He has taken part in a number of projects, including musical readings of Boris Vian's works with the Lire Autrement company and big band performances with pianist Antoine Hervé's Leçons de Jazz. He also took part in the creation of Alexander Eckman's ballet Play at the Opéra Garnier and the show NORMANDIE with Les Frivolités Parisiennes at the Théâtre Impérial in Compiègne.
Adrien Lajoumard is now a saxophone teacher in Epernon (Eure-et Loire) and gives lessons as part of courses (Curso Internacional de saxofon de Montefrio, Spain).
Since 2010, he has been a member of the Orchestre d'harmonie de la Musique de l'Air, under the baton of Colonel Claude Kesmaecker.
