Efrem Roca
Born in Barcelona, where he obtained the title Superior of Saxophone, Efrem Roca went on to continue his studies at the C.N.R. de Musique et Danse de Montpellier, where he perfected the discipline in the hands of Philippe Braquart obtaining Mention Très Bien in the Cycle de Spécialisation in the disciplines of Saxophone and Chamber Music.
He has recorded and published a CD for the label “Ars Harmonica” Tribute to VENTAS (SAX 3+1), and has published the Concerto for Two Violins in D minor BWV 1043 by J. S. BACH for Saxophone Octet, by the French firm B. G. Editions.
Apart from concert life, he has had quite an intense dedication to teaching in Tarragona, Barcelona, France and currently in Andorra where he teaches at Conservatoire of Andorra.
He has been sponsored by Henri SELMER Paris since 2007. In 2013, with the help of the SELMER company and the motivation from Efrem Roca, the Andorra Sax Fest project was launched.
