Esneider Valencia Hernández
A vibrant saxophone performer and educator, Esneider Valencia Hernández has performed as guest saxophonist in music festivals and congresses in Europe, United States and Latin America, as well as guest soloist with bands and orchestras in Latin America and United States.
In his pedagogical experience has been invited as clinician in universities as Shenandoah Conservatory, South Carolina University, Slippery Rock University, Universidad Autónoma Nacional de México, Cusco Conservatory and Universidad de Panamá. His solo performances explore current music languages, especially the emergent repertory for the saxophone by Latin American composers. Born in Medellín-Colombia, Esneider obtained his doctoral degree in music —saxophone performance—at the University of Miami.
Currently, Esneider serves as Saxophone Professor at Universidad de Antioquia – Colombia and Universidad EAFIT in the graduate and undergraduates programs.
During the last recent years, he has develop a particular interest in the study and recording of the saxophone music of the multifaceted Venezuelan composer and arranger, Aldemaro Romero.
