Trio Saxo Clone
Saxo Clone is the meeting of three talented musicians, two alto saxophonists, Frédéric Basquin and Gino Samyn, and pianist Pascal Thibaux.
Saxo Clone trio offers you an exceptional concert with two saxophonists from the great French school of classical saxophone. Two exceptional sounds for a unique musical moment.
After years of intense concert performances, master classes in France and abroad (New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portugal, Poland, Croatia, Tunisia, ...), it was absolutely necessary to keep the memory of these unforgettable moments of music.
It was then decided to record Saxo Clone's first album entitled, French Connection.
This album, composed of works by French composers offers a captivating repertoire of transcriptions and original works with impressionistic and modern colours.
You will be able to discover or rediscover, for example, the first movement of Debussy's trio in G Major, originally written for violin, cello and piano, and adapted by and for Saxo Clone, but also creations such as Le Fil d'Ariane composed by Jean-Philippe Vanbeselaere and premiered by Saxo Clone at the 17th World Saxophone Congress in Strasbourg in July 2015.
