Vittorio Quinquennale
Graduated in Naples at the S. Conservatory. Pietro a Majella in 1998 under the direction of Maestro Francesco Salime, he continued his studies at the Conservatoire de Versailles in the class of Jacques Desloges, obtaining the gold medal unanimously with congratulations.
In 2001, he entered the class of Jean-Yves Fourmeau at the Conservatoire de Cergy Pontoise and in 2002 he was awarded the gold medal in chamber music and the absolute first prize as a concert performer.
His teaching activity is intense, and in 2002 he is appointed professor at the Georges Gourdet Conservatory of Suresnes (France). From 2002 to 2007, he was a member of the saxophone class at the IC Regina Elena in Rome. He has organized master classes in Italy and abroad.
His concert activity has taken him to international stages in Belgium, France, Canada, the United States, Spain and Greece. Since 2001 he has been a soloist at the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome and he collaborates with the National Academy of Santa Cecilia.
He has had several discographic collaborations with labels such as Sony Classical, recording with the Berliner Youth Orchestra, and with Maestro Ennio Morricone.
He is the founder of the Kansax Saxophone Quartet, with whom he has recorded two compact discs, Rodeando and Live in Naples. Since 2008, he has held the position of soprano saxophone in the ministerial brass band of the Guardia di Finanza.
