Da-Yeon Woo
Da-Yeon Woo graduated from the Music Department of Kyungsung University and now lives in France. She graduated from the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental d'Evry, France, with a specialized diploma (D.E.M.) and advanced training. She is a graduate of the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris, where she obtained the highest level of concert training. She also trained in performance at Proclam'Art.
She excels in ensemble performances such as solo, orchestral and chamber music, and has planned and performed extensively in South Korea. She has appeared as a guest in many orchestras, including the Susan Philharmonic and Symphony Orchestras, the Yangsan City Wind Orchestra, the Paju Wind Orchestra and the Nakdong Wind Orchestra. She has constantly strengthened her skills as a professional performer through her various stage activities.
She has collaborated with the Gyeongnam Symphony Orchestra, the International Philharmonic Orchestra and the Susan Symphony Band. She is actively involved in international musical activities, participating in the Journée du Saxophone organized by the Conservatoire National de Paris, invited to Université Dauphine, the Grand Palais and numerous charity concerts.
She is currently actively performing in Korea, starting with her reunion recital in Korea in 2016. She is a saxophone teacher at Dong Eui University, Susan National University of Education, Susan Arts High School, Namji Girls' Middle School, Namji Elementary School and Seokdong Middle School, which strives to train younger generations.
She is also conductor of the Breeze-on Wind Orchestra and Namji Elementary School, and a member of the Breeze-on Saxophone Quartet, Ensemble NOUS, CCS and Busan Contemporary Music Ensemble.
She hopes to promote the classical saxophone in the future through her performance activities.
