Lukasz Nedza
In 2007 Łukasz Nędza graduated with honors from the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow, in the saxophone class of prof. Andrzej Rzymkowski. He continued his education at the Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg-Augsburg, in the saxophone class of prof. Günter Priesner, which he graduated with honors in 2008. He perfected his skills as an active participant in master classes, working with such eminent saxophonists as Claude Delangle and Jean-Marie Londeix. He took part in numerous festivals as a soloist, member of chamber ensembles and symphony orchestras, including: 4th Polish Saxophone Congress (Wroclaw, 2023), 34th Krakow International Composers Festival (Krakow, 2022), 3rd Polish Saxophone Congress (Poznan, 2021 ), Aktuelle Musik 017 (Nürnberg, 2017), Warsaw Autumn (Warsaw, 2016), Film Music Festival (Krakow, 2014), Muzyka Na Szczytach (Zakopane, 2010), New Music Festival (Ostrava, 2007), Beethovenfest (Bonn, 2005).
A special place in his repertoire has Polish music. Since 2002 he has been collaborating with Krakow composers such as: Maciej Jabłoński, Jarosław Płonka, Paulina Załubska, Wojciech Ziemowit Zych, giving premieres of their works. Since 2004 he has been collaborating with the Krakow Philharmonic, taking part in symphonic concerts and educational programs for children and teenagers. He conducts solo and chamber artistic activities and is a member of the Krakow Saxophone Quartet, with which in 2010 he recorded the album The Clockwork Music with music by Krzysztof Aleksander Janczak.
In 2015 he received his PhD degree at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow. In 2023 he was awarded the Medal of the National Education Commission for outstanding contributions to education and upbringing. He is currently employed as an assistant professor at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow. He also conducts teaching activities at the Bronislaw Rutkowski Primary and Secondary Music School in Krakow.
