Benjamin Duthoit
After starting to play the clarinet in Clermont-Ferrand, Benjamin Duthoit studied with Michel Arrignon from the age of 12 at the Conservatoire du XIIème in Paris.
At the age of 17 he entered the CNSM in Paris and graduated with a prize in clarinet (class of Michel Arrignon), bass clarinet (class of Jean-Noël Crocq) and chamber music (class of Maurice Bourgue).
In 2002 he joined the Air Force Band, until 2010, when he obtained the position of principal bass clarinet at the Orchestre National d'Ile-de-France.
His professional experiences have led him to play in prestigious orchestras such as the Paris Opera, the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre National de France, the Monte Carlo Philharmonic, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris...
Since 2013 Benjamin Duthoit has been teaching clarinet in the Municipal Art Schools of Vitry-sur-Seine (France).
