Dominique Vidal
Dominique Vidal is a former pupil of Guy Deplus, Maurice Bourgue, Christian Lardé. He was awarded unanimously a First Prize for clarinet and chamber music at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. He holds a Certificate of Aptitude to teach the clarinet in France.
Mr Vidal is a winner of numerous prizes at international competitions in Paris, Toulon, Rome, Belgrade. He has been awarded the Grand Prix Claude Debussy at the international competition of the Guild of Soloist Artists and Chamber Musicians of Paris.
Mr Vidal teaches in numerous master classes, courses and seminars in France, Italy, Taiwan, Japan and the United States. He is also an international concert performer in various international events, and has been on radio and television broadcasts (e.g. France Musique, France Culture, RAI, Hamburg NDR, A2, FR3, Arte, the Serbian and Taiwanese televisions).
Mr Vidal is a prize winner of "Action Musicale Philip Morris". Founder and artistic director of the "Académie Musicale Internationale du Sancy" (AMIS) and of the summer festival in Sancy (FEES), an international festival of chamber music and contemporary creations.
Mr Vidal’s extensive discography includes works of, among others, Arma, Castérède, Chaynes, Chen, Condé, Bartok, Brahms, Dufourt, Durieux, Fénelon, Goude, Jolivet, Katchaturian, Mozart, Murail, Petit, Philippot, Quinet, Roizenblat, Singier, Stavinski, Taïra, Tisné, Tomasi. It received acclamation and has been awarded Best Disc of the Year 1994 (Le Monde). He is a recipient of two "Grand Prix de l’Académie Charles Cros" and of a "Diapason d’or".
