François Marquet
Born in 1972 François Marquet is currently Professor of Artistic Education at the CRR of Brest and soloist of the ensemble Entre sable & ciel.
He began playing clarinet at the age of 6 at the Conservatory of Music of Rochefort-sur-Mer in Charente-Maritime. After passing through the conservatories of La Rochelle and Poitiers, he perfected his skills at the CRR of Rueil-Malmaison in the class of first Henri Druart, then Florent Heau and Michel Arrignon. He then obtained a First Prize for clarinet and a prize for excellence.
Today, in addition to his activity as a chamber musician, he performs with several national orchestras including the National Orchestra of Brittany and the National Orchestra of Pays de la Loire. Also a graduate in singing, an activity that has enriched his clarinet teaching, he was for 10 years a member of the Rennes Opera Choir, and participated with the Châtelet theater in the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto, Italy.
