Frédéric Richirt
Born in 1963, Frédéric Richirt began studying clarinet at the age of 11 in Beuvry-la-Forêt in the North of France and joined the city wind band the following year.
After a formative period at the Music School of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, he won two gold medals in 1981 in clarinet and chamber music at the Conservatoire National de Région de Douai.
His career then took him to the CNR of Rueil-Malmaison in Henri Druart's class where he was awarded a virtuosity prize in 1984.
It is when he met Philippe Cuper that his career began, first at the Orchestre de la Société des Concerts Lamoureux and then at the Orchestre National de Lille.
In 1989, Frédéric Richirt joined the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra as soloist, a position he still holds today.
