Giampietro Giumento
Giampietro Giumento, was born in Arcinazzo Romano (Rome). He graduated at Conservatory “Licinio Refice” of Frosinone.
After his diploma he studied at the Mozarteum of Salzburg, Accademia Musicale Chigiana of Siena, at the Accademia Musicale della Svizzera Italiana of Lugano and Chicago.
He was solo clarinet with Orchestra Internazionale d’Italia, Orchestra del Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana (guest), Orchestra del Teatro Verdi Salerno (guest) and he also has collaborated with Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia (Rome), Orchestra del Teatro Carlo Felice (Genova) and Orchestra del Teatro San Carlo (Naples) and he played with conductors such Kuhn, Sinopoli, Lewis, Mandeal, Meckath, Lu Jia, Neuhold, Machado, Halffter, Krieger, Boyd, De Bernart to mention but a few…
He played soloist with Budapest Chamber Orchestra, Ukraine National Chamber Orchestra, Sofia Chamber Orchestra, Iasi Philharmonic Orchestra, Elementi Orchestra Sinfonica RAI of Rome and toured through many countries of Europe, North and Sud America and North Africa.
He was Guest Professor at Conservatory Tchaikovsky of Moscow, ESMAE of Oporto, Puebla University, University of Arts “G. Enescu” Iasi, Lathi Politechnic Faculty of Music, State Conservatory of Music “Victoria Eugenia” Granada, Malaga State Conservatory of Music and Bursa University of Music and he was a jury member in national and international contests.
He his a Professor at the Accademia Italiana del Clarinetto.
Actually he holds the chair of clarinet at the State Conservatory of Music "San Pietro a Majella" of Naples.
