Committed to the advancement of music for Wind Orchestra, Manuel embarks on a journey to premiere a series of 12 new works meticulously crafted for his unique interpretation. These compositions, conceived expressly for him, serve as a testament to his dedication and artistic vision, promising captivating performances alongside ensembles from around the globe. Furthermore, his innovative spirit shines through in the creation of Sonoro Infinito, an interdisciplinary showcase where he pushes the boundaries of his instrument, harnessing technology to craft evocative sonic landscapes.
In his collaborative endeavors, Manuel has had the privilege of working closely with internationally renowned composers such as Arturo Márquez, Bernat Vivancos, Joan Magrané, Nubia Jaime-Donjuan, Ernesto Aurignac, and José María Sánchez-Verdú. This rich tapestry of musical partnerships underscores his commitment to artistic exploration and excellence.
As an orchestral luminary, Manuel's artistry has been invited to be a part of eminent ensembles including the SWR Symphony Orchestra (Stuttgart), Les Dissonances (France), MúsicAeterna (Russia), and the Utopia Orchestra, under the baton of Teodor Currentzis. His collaborations extend beyond the concert hall, encompassing recordings and tours that captivate audiences worldwide.
Since making Barcelona his home in 2008, Manuel has been a pillar of the city's vibrant musical community. He serves as the principal clarinet of the Barcelona Municipal Band and enriches the chamber music landscape as a member of the esteemed Barcelona Clarinet Players quartet. He is ambassador to Henri Selmer Paris and Vandoren, Manuel's performances embody a fusion of technical mastery and artistic expression, captivating audiences with every note.
