Weilong Xi
Weilong Xi is a famous clarinet educator, master's degree instructor, professor, member of the International Clarinet Association, member of the China Musicians Association, vice president of the China Wind Music Society, vice president of the China Clarinet Association, director of the China Chamber Music Society. He is also director of the Guangdong Provincial Musicians Association, president of the Guangdong Provincial Wind Music Association, member of the academic committee of the Xinghai Conservatory of Music, former head of the orchestra department of the Xinghai Conservatory of Music.
In 2001, he received the highest award for music education from the Ministry of Culture, the "Gu Yong Hee Award for Excellence in Music Education". He has served as a jury member of many important local competitions such as the "Golden Bell Award" competition in China, and has been invited to hold master classes in Macau and other place.
In recent years, Professor Weilong Xi has devoted himself to the popularization of Guangdong wind music, leading his peers to organize social activities, and making outstanding contributions to the development of the Guangdong wind music industry.
