Yoshua Fortunato
Born in Genova (Italy) Yoshua Fortunato spent his childhood in Japan.
He graduated in Conservatorio N. Paganini in Genova with prof. PP. Fantini and continued his Master at the Zurich University of Art with prof. F. di Casola.
He took part of the study program at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and Accademia Chigiana under Maestro A.Carbonare.
He has been a member of Verbier and Lucerne festivals.
Yoshua Fortunato is Principal Clarinet at the Teatro dell'Opera of Rome since 2023.
He has previously been 1st clarinet at the Opera National de Lyon, Oulu Sinfonia (Finland) and the Estonian National Opera.
During his career he has been invited to play as 1st clarinet in several orchestras such as Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, BBC Symphony London, Orchestra Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia of Rome, Musikkollegium Winterthur, Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana, Orchestra della Toscana, Lafil Filarmonica di Milano, Vasteras Sinfonietta.
Yoshua Fortunato plays the Selmer Recital clarinets.
