Yukari Ando
Yukari Ando, a native of Kashiwa City in Chiba Prefecture, boasts an impressive musical background. She graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Faculty of Music, and continued her musical journey by completing the graduate course at the same university. Yukari's dedication and talent were recognized when she received the esteemed Acanthus Music Prize upon the culmination of her graduate studies.
Her musical prowess has been showcased on various platforms, including her participation in the clarinet section of the 36th Yamaha Wind Instrument Newcomer's Concert. Furthermore, she has been honored as a scholarship recipient of the 2019 and 2020 Japan Federation of Musicians' Association and Munetsugu Angel Foundation Domestic Scholarship Program for Emerging Musicians.
Yukari has honed her clarinet skills under the guidance of esteemed mentors such as Kaori Matsumoto, Masaharu Yamamoto, Hidemi Mikai, Kei Ito, Yusuke Noda, and Alessandro Beverari. Currently, she enriches the musical landscape as a clarinetist in the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra.
Her instruments of choice are the Henri SELMER Paris B♭ and A Présence and E♭ Recital clarinets, and Bass Privilege clarinet to low C.
