Jazz
Benjamin Dousteyssier
Saxophonist, composer and arranger Benjamin Dousteyssier is particularly interested in sound and rhythms at the crossroads of jazz, experimental, contemporary and traditional music, particularly from Africa.
He plays, writes and directs various groups (a trio, Hangover Square, a solo) but also participates in jazz ensembles (Protocluster, Post K, Umlaut Big Band, Collectif Paris Swing) and contemporary/improvised music groups (Onceim). He has written several pieces for small and large ensembles.
He organises concerts at the Goutte d'Or in Paris with Pierre-Antoine Badaroux, “Les jazz series”.
He has been teaching at the Gennevilliers Conservatoire since 2024.
