Cândida Oliveira
Cândida Oliveira started her clarinet studies at the Professional School of Arts at Vale do Ave - ARTAVE, with Adam Wierzba and José Ricardo Freitas, finishing in 2001 with the highest classification. She graduated in Music in 2005, at Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo (ESMAE) at Oporto, in the class of António Saiote. She completed the Master's degree in Specialized Music Teaching at the University of Aveiro in 2013.
She has received awards in the main national and international competitions, such as the Young Musicians Prize (2000, 2002 and 2005, Montroy Clarinet Competition (2003), International Clarinet Association - ICA (2005), Lisbon International Clarinet Competition (2011).
She integrates several Chamber Music projects, performing in the main national and international music halls and festivals. Throughout her career, she has performed solo with orchestra, with emphasis on the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra, the Gulbenkian Orchestra, the Filarmonia das Beiras Orchestra, among others. Since 2015 she has been part of the clarinet section of the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra of the São Carlos National Opera Theater.
Since 2011 she has been a Henri SELMER Paris Artist, (playing the Privilège and Recital models).
